By Rohini Kurup
The Justice Department charged two men with assaulting U.S. Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick, who died after responding to the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. On March 14, the FBI arrested Julian Elie Khater of Pennsylvania and George Pierre Tanios of West Virginia and on charges of assaulting officers, including Sicknick, with bear spray. Authorities have not determined whether exposure to the bear spray caused Sicknick’s death. The men are expected to appear in court on March 15.
