On August 27, Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco announced a new DOJ fellowship that may be of interest to some Lawfare readers. The Cyber Fellowship program aims to train the “next generation” of attorneys to combat ever-expanding national security and criminal cyber threats. Fellows have a unique opportunity to gain broad, cross-cutting experience by rotating through multiple department components over the course of the three-year fellowship. The full announcement is here. The first round of applications, which is open to those who meet the criteria for the DOJ Honors Program, is due on September 8, 2021. There will be other opportunities to apply, but details and timeframes have not yet been announced.
