The lawyers representing the intelligence community whistleblower released two letters responding to news reports about their client and his complaint. A statement on Sunday claims that "while discussions continue to occur to coordinate and finalize logistics" of a closed-session meeting with the House Intelligence Committee "no date/time has yet been set." This came the same day as House Permanent Select Intelligence Committee Chairman (HPSCI) Adam Schiff told ABC that the whistleblower had reached an agreement with the committee and would testify before HPSCI "very soon." The second statement, released on Monday, pushes back against debunked right-wing claims that the intelligence community loosened restrictions on the whistleblower reporting form immediately preceding the filing on this particular complaint.
