Israel, Cyberattacks and International Law
In response to a series of cyberattacks, Israel seems to be increasingly turning toward international law to guide its approach to hostile activities in cyberspace.
Tal Mimran is an adjunct lecturer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a research fellow at Zefat Academic College. He coordinates the International Law Forum of the Hebrew University, and serves as research coordinator at the Federmann Cyber Security Research Center in the Law Faculty of the Hebrew University. Tal worked as a researcher at the Israel Democracy Institute, edited an online human rights journal, and served as a legal adviser in the Israeli Ministry of Justice. Tal also volunteers, in reserve duty, as a legal adviser in the Israel Defense Forces (international law department).
