The federal government, especially on the civilian side, is currently under-resourced and overwhelmed in its ability to detect and mitigate cyberattacks.
Tasha Jhangiani is a Research Analyst with the Cyberspace Solarium Commission (CSC) and a Future Digital Security Leaders Fellow with the Institute for Security and Technology (IST). Her work with CSC focuses on efforts to increase cyber resiliency, operationalizing cybersecurity collaboration between the public and private sectors, and charting a path towards the implementation of major federal cybersecurity reforms. Tasha is working with IST on the launch of the Ransomware Task Force, a coalition of cybersecurity companies, industry experts, and government leaders with a goal of creating a comprehensive framework of actionable solutions to combat the devastation of malware in the public and private sectors. She holds an MA in Security Policy Studies from George Washington University, where her research focused on data localization policies and trends in information security amongst the Five Eyes Countries.
