New innovations in biotechnology are driving rapid changes that will have far-reaching consequences. The United States and its partners need to be at the forefront of these advances.
Megan Palmer is the executive director of Bio Policy & Leadership Initiatives and an adjunct professor of bioengineering at Stanford University. She is also an affiliate of the Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC) at Stanford, where she was previously a senior research scholar. In these roles, she leads integrated research, education, and engagement programs to guide biological science and engineering to serve public interests.
