Turkey's hardline policy toward the Syrian Kurds has left Ankara with no good options.
Galip Dalay is a nonresident fellow at the Brookings Doha Center, as well as research director at Al Sharq Forum and senior associate fellow at the Al Jazeera Center for Studies. He was previously a visiting fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin and worked as a political researcher at SETA Foundation in Ankara. He was a guest scholar at the Institute for Human Science in Vienna (IWM) in 2017 and review editor of Insight Turkey magazine.
