Dr. Ed Bates is an Associate Professor in Law at the University of Leicester. He is the author of The Evolution of the European Convention on Human Rights (Oxford University Press, 2010), and co-author of Harris, O’Boyle and Warbrick, The Law of the European Convention on Human Rights (Oxford University Press, 2014). His recent work includes, "British Sovereignty and the European Court of Human Rights," (128) (2012) Law Quarterly Review, 382; "The birth of the European Convention on Human Rights," in J Christoffersen and M Madsen (eds.)
