India suggests renaming the Internet.  Not, apparently, a joke: "In a major diplomatic initiative, India is all set to challenge the U.S.’ hegemony of the World Wide Web at a global meet on Internet governance in Sao Paulo (Brazil) next week. India has decided to propose renaming of Internet as ‘Equinet’ so that all nations can have equal say in its operations, besides calling for “internationalisation” of core Internet resources."

Israeli hackers v. Anonymous.  Part of what I would call the "counter-insurgency" aspect of cyber: "Israeli hackers broke into the computers of Anonymous members that attacked Israel a few days ago, led them to the computer, photographed them and showed them the message: “Hey, next time do not take part in an offensive against Israel. We know who you are, we know where you are. Praise Israel.” The images and their full details are published on the web. A security expert said “Israel’s exposure shows a very high level of sophistication”"
