Terrorism Trials: Military Commissions
Al-Hadi Case: January 25 Session
Today marks the first in a week-long hearing in the military commission case of United States v. Abd al Hadi al-Iraqi. But unfortunately this week, Lawfare won't be able to view---and blog about---the Guantanamo proceedings in nearly-live fashion, from a CCTV facility in Fort Meade, Maryland.
Accordingly, as per our usual "backup" practice, we will review transcripts of each day’s events—just as soon as transcripts become available—and post digests on Lawfare's front page. And we will be sure to note the digest posts as they come in, on the site’s front page.
By way of preview, we understand that today will see litigation of motions in the morning, and then a session devoted to classified matters in the afternoon.
