Update in Hamad v. Gates

The government has filed its brief in Hamad v. Gates, an appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  Like Al-Nashiri v. MacDonald, another case pending in that court, Hamad raises questions about the due process rights of detainees, the immunity of federal personnel, and jurisdiction over Bivens claims after Boumediene.
