On Thursday, I participated in a particularly good discussion at Georgetown University Law Center on “Legal and Ethical Implications of Autonomous Weapons.” Hosted by the school’s National Security Law Society, the event was moderated by Washingtonian‘s Shane Harris and included, in addition to me, Tom Malinowski of Human Rights Watch and Professor Missy Cummings of MIT—all of whom are well known to Lawfare readers interested in robots. Here’s the video. The image quality is not as good as the discussion, but the audio is okay. So I’ll be extracting the audio feed next week and rendering it as an episode of the Lawfare Podcast. My thanks to Ya’ara Barnoon, Allegra Funsten, and Pierre Hines for putting this event together.
