Gregory McNeal of Pepperdine University School of Law has been doing fascinating research on the actual processes U.S. forces use in targeting. Most recently, he’s been working on the actual processes by which the United States “nominates” targets for its kill list. His work on this subject has now reached critical mass, so I asked him to do a series of guest posts laying out his findings. They will begin appearing this morning. My thanks to Greg for bringing this research to Lawfare.
