NYPD Domain Awareness and Privacy
I’ve been away on business travel this past week and am headed off on vacation next week so blogging for me has been light. But one recent post caught my eye and motivated me to add a quick note:
My colleague Matt Waxman recently noted that the NYPD had announced a new Domain Awareness program. In doing so he took the NYPD to task for not mentioning privacy and civil liberties in their press release regarding the program.
Maybe so — but it strikes me that the more interesting question is whether or not the NYPD has a privacy policy for the Domain Awareness Program. Turns out that they do. I thought I’d add that to the mix.
